The work is based on an idea esoteric traditions of Indian religions about seven psychic-energy centres in a body, called 'chakras'.
The chakras are believed to be part of the “subtle body” and be connected by energy channels, 'nadi's'. Body and mind mutually affect each other.
Each of these Chakras symbolically maps to specific human physiological capacity, sounds, colors, and other motifs.

The idea for the work comes from sound healing and the idea of different notes and frequencies resonating with different chakras and emotions/energies.
Children’s percussion set is connected to ‘Processing’ software. Every time you play the percussion it connects each note with the equivalent color. For example, violet connects with a note B.
